Inverell Market Report 26th July 2016

Cattle: Numbers this week halved with 350 cattle yarded which consisted mainly of yearlings and weaners. Quality was mostly plain with only the odd pen being finished. Most of the cattle went to re-stockers with most active buyers staying out due to numbers. Re-stocker weaner steers went to a top of 369c/kg, but down 20c on last week and the heifer portion was 10c cheaper topping at 337c/kg.  Yearling steers were down 20c to top at 363c/kg and feeder heifer’s held firm at 357c/kg. Some trade heifers sold to 350c/kg. Export cattle consisted of cows and an odd pen of grown steers , the steers sold to a top of 315 c/kg. Most cows sold to 241 c/kg for store cows and the kill cows made 252 c/kg.
