Inverell Market Report 18th April 2017

Cattle: There were 734 cattle were yarded 396 less than last week. We saw the market with re-stocker vealer steers sold to a top of 434¢, re-stocker vealer heifers sold to a top of 344¢, trade steers were firm selling to a top of 385¢, trade heifers were also firm selling to a top of 388¢, yearling heifers firm sold to a top of 340¢. Cows remained firm to a top of 242¢ while bulls sold to a top of 278¢.

Sheep: In the sheep and lamb section 4232 were yarded, 500 more than 2 weeks ago. We saw the market with trade lambs clearly firm depending on quality, heavy lambs down $10 – $15 down depending on quality. Mutton were also down $10 – $15 depending on quality. Local sales R & J Bowen 43kg Dorper lambs $126.
